A vacuum cleaner is very handy, to vacuum the floor then wipe the floor tiles piece by piece using the microfiber cloth while checking carefully for tiny scratches and chip on floor tiles.
By using a vacuum cleaner, all the power points are checked as well.
Get Two (2) masking tape from ace hardware (cheaper), go for the 1inch version Apollo brand.
Get a stool (need that to check wall & tiles gap in kitchen area e.g. on top of kitchen cabinet, and to sit n rest).
Optional: Numbering and date stamping on the masking tape applied to defective spots.
List down in spreadsheet the defects based on area eg. living room, bedroom 1, bedroom 2 etc using the dedicated number range.
Take pic of defective spots with masking tape marking.
Put a note in the inspection form to request rectification based on masking tape marking in the unit.
Remember to turn on the heaters and airconds units to test functionality. Prepare 2 pieces of AAA battery for the aircond remote controller (should come together with the remote controller, but since your unit is subsale I not sure the first owner would bring that along).
Turn on the water for all basins and water closet, for leaking check.
Check windows gaps and look for scratches around the windows frame.
Check gap between floor skirting n tiles.
